First-Year Student Registration Support
Welcome First-Year Students! Prior to registering for classes at American University, it is recommended that you review the resources below that will aid you in planning your schedule.
Please make sure to use your AU email when communicating with your advisor, your faculty, and other staff at AU.
Registration Resources for First Year Students
Your first year advisor will email information on how to register, resources to support your planning of classes, and a reminder of how to make an appointment with them.
How do I choose and register for classes?
You will use the material you discuss in Class 6 in AUx1, the resources under "What Registration Resources Can I Use?" below, and support from your first year advisor to choose, plan, and register for classes.
Starting October 3, the schedule of classes will be available through Eagle Service. You will also be able to find your registration day and time in Eagle Service by opening your Spring Planner. To do this, click the “+” button next to “Fall 2022 Semester” on your Student Planner and choose “Spring 2023 Semester”. Your registration day and time will populate in a blue box.
What Registration Resources Can I Use?
Below are the registration resources you can use as you plan your courses on Eagle Service. If you need a refresher on using Eagle Service, review the Eagle Service 101 document.
