Bio
Dr. Jacquelin Darby provides individual and group counseling services, crisis intervention services, and outreach services. Dr. Darby completed her post-doctorate fellowship at the American University counseling center before accepting a staff clinician position. Dr. Darby completed her APA-accredited internship at Howard University Counseling Services located in Washington DC. Her special interests include: substance use issues, body image concerns (specifically the effects of colorism), effects of systemic oppression on individuals, group therapy, and interpersonal trauma. Dr. Darby works from an integrative model grounded in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
