Alexa Glazer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Staff Clinician at the American University Counseling Center. Prior to joining the Counseling staff at AU, she has had experience in school-based, residential, and community mental health settings. Alexa’s clinical interests include life transitions, women’s issues, interpersonal relationship issues, and social justice and empowerment. Her approach employs psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with a focus on the therapeutic relationship as central to growth and change. In her free time, Alexa enjoys listening to podcasts, playing board games with friends, and rock climbing.
