AUCI helps current AU students from all across campus to gain a full understanding of the real world of business and markets by confronting, embracing, and creating opportunities—with the goal of achieving the highest levels of human flourishing and self–actualization.
AUCI brings together prospective student entrepreneurs, educators, and experienced entrepreneurs to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, identify opportunities, refine business models, and launch new ventures.
Through experiential learning inside and outside the classroom, AU entrepreneurship students develop entrepreneurial mindsets, undertake marketing research, acquire financial resources, manage cash flows and grow their ventures.

2016 GEM Social Entrepreneurship Special Report by Bosma, Schott, Terjesen and Kew
The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor's (GEM) social entrepreneurship activity research is based on interviews with 167,793 adults in 58 economies in 2015, and is thus the largest comparative study of social entrepreneurship in the world.

The Tampa Bay Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: The Tide is High by White, Hechevarría, Terjesen, Acs, and Audretsch
The purpose of the study is two-fold. First, the team sought to expand the limited current theory in entrepreneurial ecosystems. Second, the project sought to better understand the specific state of the ecosystem in Tampa Bay.
Entrepreneurship Incubator
The AU Entrepreneurship Incubator assists graduate students, undergraduate students and recent alumni in building successful profit or nonprofit/social entrepreneurial ventures that are sustainable and can scale over time.
The Incubator provides accepted ventures with:
- Experienced mentors
- Networking opportunities
- Educational opportunities
- Access to resources
- Available workspace
- Guidance during early stages of business development
