Bio
Erik Cooke (he/they) has worked in the disability, aging, anti-hunger, and international development fields for more than 20 years. Currently, they direct grant and business development for Easterseals' National office, helping secure government, foundation, and private grants and contracts. Previously, he headed the Washington, DC office of Feed the Children, an organization dedicated to ending hunger in the US and in ten countries around the world. His teaching career has long been centered on the philosophy of democracy and human rights. In addition to their nonprofit career, they have also served in the US Senate, on political campaigns, and in private consulting. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science.
